Centre for Criminal Justice and Victim Rights

The Centre for Criminal Justice and Victim Rights is an interdisciplinary Centre for research, social-outreach and resource building. The Centre conducts outstanding research on a broad spectrum of approaches towards understanding crimes, criminals, victims, criminal justice administration system, rights of criminals and victims as well as policies and practices in India. 


The Centre has been established with an aim of becoming a knowledge hub to facilitate research and training. The Centre strives to promote legal awareness and consciousness at the grassroots level. The Centre also provides legal assistance to persons in need.


OBJECTIVES

  • Development of knowledge hub to facilitate research and training.  
  • Strengthening law, policy and governance to improve crime accused and victim rights situation.  
  • To enhance experiential learning by conducting extensive fieldwork and research for evidence-based advocacy.
  • To provide legal assistance.
  • To provide exclusive training in advocacy.
